Where there are eight-meter snowdrifts: 10 of the most snowy cities on our planet

AccuWeather from the United States, which has been engaged in weather forecasts for many years, spoke about the places on our planet where the most snow is. In winter, some of them have 8-meter snowdrifts. For comparison, the snowiest region of Russia is Kamchatka, where snowdrifts annually reach two meters. And yet she is far from the rating, which we will present below.

Aomori is the world record holder from the Land of the Rising Sun, where snowfalls go from late autumn to mid spring, and eight-meter snowdrifts appear during this time.

The silver medalist is Sapporo, another settlement in Japan, where the snow level in winter is about 5 m.

Apparently, Japan is one of the snowiest countries, since in third place is another city of this island state: Toyama and 3.5 m of snow.

St. John's is not only one of the ten snowiest settlements on the planet, but is also considered the most windy, foggy and cloudy town in Canada. The cover level indicator is 3.3 m.

Syracuse is the most snowy city in the United States, where the snow is usually more than 3 m.

Canadian Quebec, where the rate is the same as in Syracuse.

Saguenay is another leader from Canada, where the level of snow cover is 3.1 m.

And again, Japan - Akita, famous for its snowfalls, in the cold season, snowdrifts here grow to 2.7 m

Rochester, USA, which almost reached the eighth place: here the snow level is about 2.5 m.
